Getting to know super star Salesforce Admin Sam
One of our talented Salesforce Admins, Samantha Genz, is a jack of all trades. From raising cattle on their farm and boating on the weekends to completing Salesforce projects for our clients she’s truly a rock star.
- How long have you been in the Salesforce ecosystem? I’ve been in the Salesforce ecosystem for a little over a year.
- How did you end up in Salesforce ecosystem? I wasn’t happy at my previous job, and I ran across a Salesforce Admin role on a job posting and decided to research it and make a move. Once I found the Salesforce for Everyone podcast I was all in and took a deep dive into Trailhead to try to figure it all out.
- Do you have a favorite Salesforce product or one that you like working with the best? I enjoy working with Sales Engagement, I’ve done several implementations over the past several months, so I know the product well.
- Do you have any pets? Yes, a ton of pets/farm animals! We have 3 Australian Shepherds, and we raise Beefmaster cattle, horses, pigs, and chickens.
- Where is your favorite place to visit? I love to go to Kansas City in the winter, it’s great food and a good time for the family. Savannah, GA is another favorite. It’s so beautiful there.
- Is there somewhere you’ve never been to but want to visit? I would love to visit Greece someday. The scenery is truly breathtaking in the photos, I can’t imagine seeing it in person.
- If you could only eat 3 things for the rest of your life, what would they be? Probably tacos, sushi, and cookie dough.
- Do you have any hobbies? Lifting, horseback riding, and taking the boat out on the lake are a few of my favorite hobbies.
- Have you ever attended any Salesforce events? (Dreamforce, World tour, User groups) I attended the World Tour in NYC last December.
- Favorite type of music? genre or band? Rap, Country, Rock, depends on what type of mood I’m in and what I am doing.
- Do you cheer for any sports teams? The Razorbacks.
- Before working in the Salesforce ecosystem, what was the most interesting job you had? Honestly nothing as interesting as being a Salesforce Admin at a Consultancy. Everything is constantly changing, and I’m always learning new things. And most people have no idea what Salesforce is, so it’s interesting trying to explain what I do to people when they ask.
- What are 3 words to describe Cloud113? Innovative, Inspiring, Family
