Slack uses similar functionality to add Favorite Channels.
Remember in Super Mario Brothers, when you got the star? You were granted temporary invincibility! Well, when you add favorite channels or DM’s in Slack, you kinda feel invincible.
Ok, just kidding although it feels good to get organized. It’s also really easy to set up.
At the top of every channel, direct message, conversation, the user has the ability to “star” that conversation and it will move into your Starred Section.
